Here are five tips for Whitewater rafting first-timers. Come with me and my friend Zoe as we take on a beginner's Whitewater rafting tour through Middle Clear Creek with Downstream Adventures, located in Empire, Colorado, just 40 minutes from Denver. Tip one: dress in comfortable clothes, but don't worry too much because the appropriate attire is provided to you, like this wetsuit, a splash jacket, a personal flotation device, and helmet. Tip two: do not stress out about the shoes because you can easily rent a good pair of water shoes on-site. Tip three: always listen to your guide from beginning to end. Tip four: bring sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun and water. Tip five: get friendly with the other people in your tour because you are in a raft together for one and a half hours. After that, have fun and enjoy the ride.
