Today I learned that the first gay movie was actually filmed in Berlin, nothing less than 1919. I took my boyfriend on a guided tour in Schönberg, the century-old gay neighborhood of Berlin. And as part of the LGTBQ community myself, I have to say it was truly shocking. I had no idea about the quantity of bars, associations, and different activities that still today create this incredible aura in this part of the city. Plus, the guide was super nice and he answered all of our questions with a huge smile on his face. So either you are visiting or you live here, you should definitely check out this part of Berlin.
